Party like a Rock Star

This past week had just been AWESOME!!!!

On Wednesday Nathan and I ditched class and went to the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival. It was so worth it!

The festival has about 10 bands come and play all day. They have the crappy bands play second stage and the the four main bands take first stage. We went just to watch the four main bands.

In case you've never heard of these bands, they are more of guy music. If I were you, I wouldn't listen to them if you don't like crazy music. But, Nathan and I like them and we had a blast!
Yep, it really did start at 1:00, we didn't get there until five though.

Us waiting patiently for the concert to start.

I had a test the next day, so I studied while we waited. I'm such a nerd.

We had so much fun people watching! We saw some extremely weird people. There was all kinds of hair color, body piercings, tattoos, gothic fairies, and items turned into clothing that shouldn't be clothing. It was great!

At least we looked good!

Finally the band we came to see, Adelitas Way, came out! They sang our favorite songs "Alive" and "Sick". My night was officially made.

Their banner creep-ed me out.
Then Staind played. They were good, but not really. I didn't like them, but they did sing "It's Been Awhile". I love that song, I didn't know they sang it! They also sing "So Far Away" and I love that song too. Everybody has heard those songs, I just didn't realize that it was screamo band that sang them!

When Godsmack came out to play, I was less then thrilled. I don't like their music... or so I thought. They were AWESOME! The best of the whole night! They were the one band that when they left the stage, I thought "Hey where are you going? You can keep playing." So now my new favorite songs are "Awake" and "VooDoo". They're pretty kick awesome!

The final band was Shinedown and I didn't know how they would top what Godsmack did. They didn't. They were actually pretty boring and slow for me. But we did get about four yards from the lead singer when he came up the isle to sing "Simple Man". The best part though was when they sang "Second Chance", the whole crowd was singing it so loud you could hardly hear the band. It's pretty much everybody's theme song.

It was a fantastic night, but our ears were ringing all the next day. When we're thirty we're gonna need hearing-aides, it was totally worth it!

Also this week went to the College of Agriculture's Scholarship Banquet where we were able to meet our donors. It was a really good time!
Nathan had three scholarships! He also got to Ag. Ambassador-it-up that night (see the spiffy blue blazer?). I had one scholarship, I'm way proud of the two of us!

last night I thought I'd bee funny and draw eyebrows on Addi. And it was just as hilarious as I thought it would be. For Halloween I'm going to get her a cape and draw eyebrows on her again so she can be an evil villian!

Cute and Cuddly Kittens

So pretty much my kittens are adorable and I've been having a lot of fun taking pictures of them! So I figured I'd share the cuteness!

First of all, we had to give them baths. They smelled so bad from being outside kitties and from falling in their food. I waited a couple days because I didn't want to stress them out too much when they first got to my house. It's amazing how a bath rejuvenated them!
Nathan actually likes them.

Clover is actually quite the snuggler. Her sister on the other hand...

Is kind of a wild child. Her name Roxy fits her perfect!

She prefers to attack us rather than snuggle with us.

She also likes to check out my computer.

Attack! Or just fall over, instead.

Fight it out.

And try to look innocent.

Here's some pictures of them playing. It's quite funny because they try to run on the wood floors, but their legs come out from under them and they totally eat it!

The fan box is their favorite.

Sneaky sister under the coffee table.

Attack, attack.

And then they run!
Last but not least here's a funny picture of Roxy as I was trying to get close ups of her face. She wouldn't stop moving! So, of course, I didn't get a good picture. I'm sure that this is what it'll be like when I have kids.

3+2=5

So it's official, I've gone off the deep end. Yesterday I came home with two adorable kittens!
Roxy and Clover

I have always loved cats, which makes Nathan sad because he hates them. Or so he says...
It sure appears that he likes them here!

Addi has had a hard time though, she can't decide if she likes them or wants to eat them. She's just trying to figure out what they even are. In the middle picture you can't see her tail because she's wagging it. It's so funny to watch her sniff one because the second they sniff back, she runs!

They're so cute and fun I can hardly stand it! I'm so excited to have kitties again! It's been over three years since I've lived with a kitty!

Believe it or not, there are four kittens in this picture.
